MCM returns to its traditional home of Father’s Day in 2019, with some great racing and more tributes to the halcyon days of Australian motorsport!

SUNDAY: The recreation of THAT Promo photo!

A collection of HK Monaros in GTS and non GTS formula – check!

A special recreation of one of Holden’s famous promo photos – check!

Once described as the most stylish Australian car from the Golden Era when released the HK Holden Monaro in GTS form really took the biscuit. In engine variations from 186’S’ to the Bathurst winning 327 Chevrolet powered model the HK really is the epitome of an Australian Muscle Car. Add in a recreation of a beautiful bodied Warwick Yellow 327 Monaro with redband tyres, a stunning white full body suit on our Monaro ‘model’ and you’ve got Holden’s 1968 promo shoot recreated in our specially designed onsite studio inside the ARDC administration offices buildings near Turn 1 and the Dummy Grid.

Designated ‘show times’ are Sunday only, 11am until 11:30am and 1:30am until 2pm. Our model will be striking that famous pose and give punters an excuse to click away!

Meanwhile inside the Pit area adjacent to the photo shoot check out a great collection of HK’s all on track in special parades over both days.

KEVIN BARTLETT’S KEEPSAKES

This year’s MCM will feature a never-before-seen display of items from Kevin Bartlett’s motorsport career.

Straight from KB’s ‘loft’, you’ll get up close and personal with his helmets, racesuits, trophies, awards and an array of memorabilia that we’ve only seen in pictures. Plus KB will be along at scheduled times to discuss them!

Pit Lane Premier Suite patrons will also be treated to a hosted Q&A session during the midday break, and this year V8 Sleuth Aaron Noonan will be chatting with Bartlett, along with Garry Rogers and Jack Perkins.
